Supporting professionals who report harmful workplace experiences: our partnership with CIISA

We’re pleased to announce our partnership with the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA), supporting professionals who choose to come forward about harmful experiences at work.

CIISA is an independent body working across film, television, music and theatre to help address bullying, harassment, discrimination and other harmful workplace behaviours. Its new online reporting system gives people a confidential way to raise concerns, helping CIISA build a clearer picture of issues and patterns across the sector.

For Wellbeing in the Arts, this partnership is about making sure that people who come forward have access to specialist mental health support alongside the reporting process.

“Through our work supporting professionals across the creative industries, we know how difficult it can be to speak openly about harmful experiences, particularly where freelance work, power imbalances and the fear of losing future opportunities are involved.

CIISA’s independent reporting service provides an important confidential route to raise concerns, and we’re pleased to be working alongside them to provide specialist mental health support to those who come forward, while contributing to a wider approach that addresses the conditions and cultures that can lead to poor workplace experiences.”
