We are seeking to appoint a Finance and Admin Assistant on an initial part-time freelance contract.
The successful candidate will help with the smooth running of our finance and administrative operations including the processing of invoices and creating monthly usage reports.
Duties include:
- Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions (including invoices, payments, etc) in a timely manner
- Reconcile transactions on our accounting system (Xero)
- Create monthly financial records and usage tracking reports
- Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders (including accountants, organisations we are working with, practitioners, etc)
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures
Person specification
- Experience in accounting or finance-related roles, preferably within the creative industries
- Skilled in Xero accounting software
- Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to be problem solve, think ahead and take initiative
- Can work both self-sufficiently and collaboratively as part of a busy organisation
- Strong numerical and administrative skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible, reliable and trustworthy
- Able to handle large amounts of data
- Proficiency in using accounting and software packages (in particular Xero and Microsoft Excel)
- A positive, friendly and personable manner
Further information
- This is an initial part-time position, 28 hours per month, the equivalent of four full days (with much of the time concentrated at the beginning and end of each calendar month)
- The role can be performed remotely, but the successful candidate must be based in the UK and able to meet in person on occasion

£15 per hour
