Wellbeing in the Arts Launches a New Community Supporting Mental Health Across the Creative Industries

We are excited to announce that we have launched the Creative Industries Community — a new supportive network designed to help people across the creative sector connect, share experiences, and strengthen their mental health and wellbeing.

Working in the creative industries can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be isolating, precarious and emotionally demanding. Long hours, job insecurity and constant pressure to perform can make it difficult for people to stay connected with one another or prioritise their own wellbeing.

The Creative Industries Community has been established to help address these challenges by creating a supportive and inclusive space where people working across the sector can feel less alone, connect with peers and access wellbeing support that understands the unique realities of creative careers.

Members will have access to moderated online community spaces where they can connect with others working across the industry.

The Community will also offer a wide range of activities and support, including workshops, talks and events, peer support groups, mental health and wellbeing surgeries, and wellbeing activities such as breathwork and yoga.

The aim is to provide a space where people can come together to share experiences, learn from one another and feel less alone in navigating the pressures of the industry.

Adam Bambrough, Founder and CEO of Wellbeing in the Arts, said:

“The creative industries are extraordinary places to work, but they can also be incredibly tough environments to navigate. Many people experience periods of isolation, uncertainty or intense pressure, often without spaces where they can talk openly about what that feels like.

The Creative Industries Community has been created to bring people together in a supportive and understanding environment where they can connect with others who truly understand the realities of working in this sector. Our hope is that it becomes a place where people feel able to support one another, share experiences and strengthen their wellbeing.”

Importantly, the Community is designed to support people at different stages of their wellbeing journey. There is no expectation that members need to be struggling to take part — some may join simply for conversation and connection, while others may wish to access more structured support.

Membership is FREE and provides access to the full range of community spaces, events, peer groups and wellbeing activities.

People working across all areas of the creative industries are welcome to join, wherever they are based and whatever stage they are at in their careers.
