Men’s mental health group starting in New Year

We are launching an online men’s mental health group aimed at men who work in the creative industries and are struggling with their mental health.

The group will be facilitated by experienced, BACP registered Counsellor Nik Glancy, and will run for an initial twelve weeks.

The first session will be at 7.30pm on Monday 26th January 2026 and take place every fortnight thereafter (each session will last for one and half hours).

This will be a confidential space where everyone in the group can feel safe to share their struggles and experiences, celebrate successes and learn about the common mental health issues that impact a lot of men, all under the supervision of a qualified male Counsellor.

There are twelve spaces available and it is important that those who sign up to the group are committed to attending every session when possible.

‘Men are often more reluctant than women to talk about their mental health, and individual sessions can be intimidating for a lot of people, which is why we are running this group. We are always looking at ways to make mental health support accessible to as many people as possible, and being able to speak with a Counsellor, and other men who are struggling with their mental health, in an informal group setting will hopefully encourage those men who would normally avoid seeking support to come forward and access the help they need. I look forward to seeing you there!’, Adam, Founder of Wellbeing in the Arts.

Please note that this is a pilot group and there will be further groups for other demographics starting in 2026.
