Welcome to Wellbeing in the Arts

Wellbeing in the Arts has been established to provide specialist mental health and wellbeing support to organisations, productions and individuals across the creative industries. Our service offers access to counselling, coaching, wellbeing practitioners, workshops, mental health first aid training, and more – all designed specifically for the unique challenges of the creative sector.

Founder and CEO, Adam Bambrough, said:

“Wellbeing in the Arts was created in response to the significant mental health challenges facing the creative industries. It draws inspiration from my own personal experiences as a former actor and director navigating mental health difficulties, the insights gained from leading an arts charity supporting thousands of people across the UK, and extensive research into how the sector can better support its workforce.

Our vision is an industry in which every organisation, production and individual has access to mental health and wellbeing support, where people feel safe to speak openly about personal and professional challenges without fear of judgement, awareness and understanding of mental health issues is vastly improved, and the underlying causes of poor workplace wellbeing are actively addressed.

We believe meaningful change is possible, and Wellbeing in the Arts exists to help lead that change.”
