Our next online, one-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) champion training course will take place on Friday 22nd September 2023 (9am – 6pm).
This is a certificated MHFA England course, the country’s leading provider of MHFA training, and over the course of the day, participants will:
- Learn how to identify signs of mental ill health
- Develop an understanding of common mental health issues
- Build knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
- Find new ways to support their own mental health and utilise their MHFA skills in everyday life.
Mental Health First Aid training enhances your confidence in raising a concern with someone, and holding those important conversations. It will also encourage you to look at how a workplace can impact mental health, and ways you can contribute to, and advocate for, a healthier environment, as well as give you vital skills that you can use at work and in your personal life.
The course is taught through discussion, individual tasks and small-group activities, and is ideal for those whom people already turn to for support, be it staff in managerial or leadership positions, company and stage managers, or those who want to learn how to support people experiencing mental health issues.
Our training is specifically designed for anyone who works in the Arts and creative industries, and there will be a lunch break, as well as additional shorter breaks, throughout the day.
The RRP for this one-day course is £200, however, we’re offering it at a discounted rate of £145 per person (including VAT and course materials).
This session is being led by Tracy Keating, a qualified Mental Health First Aid instructor, who is a qualified Counsellor and former Head of Student Wellbeing at RADA.
The MHFA England certification is valid for 3 years, after which you’ll be invited to join a Refresher course. Every attendee receives a workbook and MHFA Action Plan card. Upon completion of the course, you will also receive a certificate. For more information, please visit https://mhfaengland.org/.
Once you have booked your slot on the course, we will send you out the zoom link and course materials.
Attendees must be based in England (this rule is set by MHFA England, individuals in other parts of the UK must access MHFA training from their country of residence (MHFA Scotland, MHFA Wales, etc)).
There are sixteen places available and the closing date to sign up for the course is 5pm on Monday 18th September 2023 (please note that our previous session sold out well before the deadline, so we recommend booking your space as soon as you can).
