SUMMARY:Neurodiversity Peer Support Group (introductory session)
DESCRIPTION:Neurodiversity is one of the most common themes we see among people working in the creative industries. \nIn response\, we are launching an online peer support group for anyone who is — or suspects they may be — neurodivergent\, whether formally diagnosed or not\, and who would like to strengthen their wellbeing in a supportive and understanding environment. \nThe group will be facilitated by Abbi Bradford\, an experienced BACP-registered counsellor who specialises in working with neurodivergent clients. \nBefore the group begins\, anyone interested is invited to attend a short introductory session at 7:30pm on Wednesday 6 May. \nThis informal meeting offers an opportunity to meet the facilitator\, learn more about how the group will work\, and help shape how sessions may be structured. We will also discuss confidentiality and group guidelines\, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions. \nThe introductory session also gives you the chance to see whether the group feels like the right fit\, helping everyone start the programme feeling comfortable\, informed\, and ready to engage. \nFollowing this session\, the intention is to establish a regular online meeting time\, alongside a dedicated WhatsApp group to help participants stay connected between sessions. \nThis confidential space is designed to allow participants to share experiences\, discuss challenges\, celebrate progress\, and explore common wellbeing themes — all within a supportive environment guided by a qualified counsellor. \nTo help build a consistent and trusting group dynamic\, participants will be encouraged to attend sessions regularly wherever possible. \nBooking information\nThe introductory session is free to attend for everyone\, and places can be reserved by RSVP. \nIf you are unable to attend the introductory meeting\, but are interested in joining the group once it begins\, please still RSVP\, as this mean that you are included in all future correspondence related to the set up and running of the group. \nOngoing places in the group are for members of the Creative Industries Community only\, who can reserve their place using their unique membership password.

SUMMARY:Men’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Peer Support Group (introductory session)
DESCRIPTION:Four in five suicides are men\, and the Bupa Wellbeing Index reports that around half of men are struggling with their mental health at any given time. Yet fewer than one in four men have ever sought support. \nIn response\, we are launching an online men’s mental health and wellbeing peer support group for men working in the creative industries who would value a supportive and understanding space to strengthen their wellbeing. \nThe group will be facilitated by Oscar Ward\, a former actor and experienced BACP-registered counsellor. \nBefore the group begins\, anyone interested is invited to attend a short introductory session at 7:30pm on Wednesday 6 May. \nThis informal meeting offers an opportunity to meet the facilitator\, learn more about how the group will work\, and help shape how sessions may be structured. We will also talk through confidentiality and group guidelines\, and there will be time to ask questions. \nThe introductory session also gives you the opportunity to see whether the group feels like the right fit\, helping everyone begin the programme feeling comfortable\, informed\, and ready to engage. There is no pressure to speak — many people attend their first session simply to listen and get a feel for the group. \nFollowing this session\, the intention is to establish a regular online meeting time\, alongside a dedicated WhatsApp group to help participants stay connected between sessions. \nThis confidential space is designed to allow participants to share experiences\, discuss challenges\, celebrate progress\, and explore common mental health themes — all within a supportive environment guided by a qualified male counsellor. The group is simply a space for men to talk\, listen and support one another — you do not need to be experiencing a crisis to take part. \nTo help build a consistent and trusting group dynamic\, participants will be encouraged to attend sessions regularly wherever possible. \nWhat to expect in the introductory session\nThe introductory session will be relaxed and informal. During the session we will: \n\nIntroduce the facilitator and the purpose of the group\nGive participants the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves (if they wish)\nTalk through confidentiality and group guidelines\nDiscuss what participants would like to gain from the group\nAnswer any questions before regular sessions begin\n\nBooking information\nThe introductory session is free to attend for everyone\, and places can be reserved by RSVP.

SUMMARY:Global Majority Mental Health and Wellbeing Peer Support Group (introductory session)
DESCRIPTION:People from the Global Majority working in the creative industries often navigate additional pressures — including underrepresentation\, discrimination\, and the experience of being one of very few people from similar backgrounds in professional spaces. Alongside the usual challenges of working in the creative sector\, such as job insecurity\, long hours and financial instability\, these experiences can sometimes leave people feeling isolated or unsupported. \nIn response\, we are launching a supportive online group for people from the Global Majority who work in the creative industries\, offering a space to talk\, listen and connect with others who may share similar experiences. \nYou do not need to be experiencing a crisis to take part — many people join simply because they value having a space where they can talk openly with others who understand the realities of working in the creative industries. \nThe group will be facilitated by Kirsty Okonkwo\, an experienced BACP-registered counsellor. \n\nIntroductory session\nBefore the group begins\, anyone interested is invited to attend a short introductory session at 7:30pm on Monday 8th June 2026. \nThere is absolutely no pressure to speak. Many people attend their first session simply to listen and get a feel for the group. \nMost people who join are meeting one another for the first time\, and many attend their first session simply to listen. \nFollowing this session\, the intention is to establish a regular online meeting time\, alongside a dedicated WhatsApp group to help participants stay connected between sessions. \n\nAbout the group\nThis confidential space is designed to allow participants to share experiences\, discuss challenges\, celebrate progress\, and explore common mental health themes — all within a supportive environment guided by a qualified counsellor. \nThe group is simply a space where participants can talk\, listen and support one another in a respectful and understanding environment. \nTo help build a consistent and trusting group dynamic\, participants will be encouraged to attend sessions regularly wherever possible. \n\nWhat to expect in the introductory session\nThe introductory session will be relaxed and informal. During the session we will: \n• Introduce the facilitator and the purpose of the group• Give participants the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves (if they wish)• Talk through confidentiality and group guidelines• Discuss what participants would like to gain from the group• Answer any questions before regular sessions begin \n\nBooking information\nThe introductory session is free to attend for everyone\, and places can be reserved by RSVP.

SUMMARY:LGBTQIA+ Mental Health and Wellbeing Peer Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Working in the creative industries can be deeply rewarding\, but it can also be demanding and uncertain. For many people in the LGBTQIA+ community\, these pressures may be compounded by experiences of discrimination\, marginalisation\, or the challenge of navigating professional spaces where you may not always feel fully understood or supported. \nFinding spaces where you can speak openly and connect with others who share similar experiences can make a meaningful difference to mental health and wellbeing. \nIn response\, we are launching a small\, supportive online group for LGBTQIA+ people working in the creative industries\, offering a space to talk\, listen and connect with others who understand the realities of the sector. \nYou do not need to be experiencing a crisis to take part — many people join simply because they value having a space where they can talk openly with others who understand the realities of working in the creative industries. \nThe group will be facilitated by experienced BACP-registered counsellors. \n\nIntroductory session\nBefore the group begins\, anyone interested is invited to attend a short introductory session at 7:30pm on [date]. \nThis informal meeting offers an opportunity to meet the facilitator\, learn more about how the group will work\, and help shape how sessions may be structured.
