Loneliness in the creative industries – what can we do about it?

July 11 - July 19

Loneliness can be a major driving force behind mental health issues for people who work in the creative industries. It not only affects those who are in-between jobs, but also those who are in work, be it as a freelancer or within a large organisation.

We are keen to explore what we can do to help, so are hosting an online discussion group around the topic ‘Loneliness in the creative industries – what can we do about it?‘, which will be an opportunity for people to come together, share experiences, hear some of ideas and share some of their own.

Your input will help us to shape our work and the plan is that at the end of the session we will have some concrete steps to build upon that will lead to positive change.

We will also be joined by a Counsellor who will offer their insight into loneliness and the impact it can have on us.

So that we can include as many people as possible, we ask that you please RSVP if you would like to be involved, and once the deadline has passed, we will take a poll of which date best suits those who have declared an interest in the session.

Everyone across the industry is welcome, whether you struggle with the issue yourself, or would just like to be part of the solution.

This event will last for one hour.

The deadline to RSVP is Friday 19th July and we will aim to hold the discussion in August.

There is no obligation to take part in the session, you are very welcome to just be present and observe.

If you have any questions, please contact us by email at admin@wellbeinginthearts.org.uk or by telephone on 0330 123 5574.
